Once again germany´s biggest metal magazine organizes this festival in the heart of the ruhrgebiet. The three day event takes place in the beautiful location of the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen. Originally started as a 20th anniversary party the rock hard magazine festival has become an essential institution metal festivals germany. The Rock Hard Festival kicked off in 2003 celebrating the magazine’s 20th anniversary with Blind Guardian, Anthrax and Nevermore among the congratulators. The open air turned out as a huge success crowned with FANtastic reactions – obviously, it didn’t take us long to decide that the festival has to be carried on.
Besides combining a great variety of international bands, we will provide you with a unique atmosphere and fair prices. The Rock Hard Festival is located in the middle of the Ruhr district and henceforth easily accessible via car or public transport. Once you get here you can choose between partying on the campground or relaxing in one of the comfortable accomodations in and around Gelsenkirchen.
