\nYou were wrong! We found some more surprise eggs in our back yard and shall now share them with you:
\nFinntroll are going to be here, and will carry their brand new album \u201cBlodsvept\u201d up the hill, planning to break our crowdsurfing record! They will be carried by the death metal band Rotting Empire from Ingolstadt, Germany, and their melodeath colleagues of Words Of Farewell from Marl, Germany.
\nLast but not least, we got two more delicacies for you: Any Given Day, who are currently advertising their debut EP with a Rihanna cover, will come from the far lands of Oberhausen, Germany, to slap us in the face with an ingenious mixture of metalcore and djent.
\nGet ready to sweat with the Truckfighters. The Swedish Stoner rock legend, which \u2013 according to Josh Homme himself \u2013 inspired him to start Kyuss, will do their best to blast their heaviest riffs of the festival at the audience!
\nIt is not without a fair bit of pride that we declare this year\u2019s Dong Open Air to be the most diverse one since its inception. Scene legends and newcomers, old skool and bleeding edge, from near and afar, from dirt rock to death metal and thrash, horror punk, folk and theatrical power metal, and introducing new sounds including North African rhythms, metalcore and stoner rock.
\nIf you think you like the loud kind of music, but didn\u2019t really spot anything in this newsletter that made your heart beat faster, go check out the band profiles of the musicians we confirmed. We updated many of the profiles with videos and each one comes with audio samples!
\nOf course, apart from all the musical highlights, the secret headliner will once again be a nice cold beer with your friends. At 2\u20ac per half liter, we once again dance the beer price limbo of the festival nation!
