\nW:O:A Hymn 2011 \u2013 Wacken Will Never Die
\nAlso this year the W:O:A will be accompanied into battle by an appropriate hymn. Following Doro in 2009 and U.D.O in 2010 now Grave Digger will compose oneself to present the Wacken Open Air with their hymn \u201cWacken Will Never Die\u201d. Vocalist Chris Boltendahl and his comrades follow in the footsteps of their two ancestors without any trouble and present another powerful hymn which knows how to transport the spirit of Wacken to their fans. This piece of music can be pre-listened at the facebook and MySpace-Seite of W:O:A. There you can also listen to \u201cWe are the Metalheads\u201d (Doro) and \u201cHeavy Metal W:O:A\u201d (U.D.O.). The purchasable single will be available during the upcoming festival and in stores after the end of W:O:A 2011. As in the last year the Wacken Foundation will get all the receipts of the single. <\/p>\n

Relentless Energy on board with the world\u2019s biggest metal festival
\n Wacken, northern Germany \u2013 probably not the kind of place you\u2019d expect to find the world\u2019s largest metal gathering. But 21 years since its inception, the Wacken Open Air Festival remains an annual fixture in this small, sleepy town. Taking place from 4 – 6 August 2011, it’s set to be another huge occasion. Headliners include the mighty Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Mot\u00f6rhead, Avantasia, Children of Bodom, Suicidal Tendencies, Airbourne and Mayhem \u2013 enough to justify the ticket price alone. There are also various weird and wonderful curios worth checking out, like the annual opening show from the Wacken Firefighters. As their name would suggest, they\u2019re fire-fighters who just happen to love metal and can thrash out a song or two. On top of the established talent, aspiring metal acts have the chance to perform alongside their heroes thanks to the Wacken Open Air Metal Masters online video competition. This year Relentless Energy are on board to help spread the word and give this opportunity-of-a-lifetime contest their full backing. Bands that think they can cut it live can upload a video of themselves in action to the WackenTube website (check the link below). Users then vote on their favourites. The winners get a slot on the Wacken Wet Stage \u2013 also known as Headbanger\u2019s Ballroom.

Green\u00b4n\u00b4Clean Award – Environment-friendly Festival according to Green\u2019n\u2019Clean Guidelines
\nThe Green\u2019n\u2019Clean Award distinguishes environment-friendly festivals.
