Winners of W:O:A Metal Chorus will perform live with Chris Boltendahl of Grave Digger at W:O:A<\/strong>
\nLast week the W:O:A Metal Chorus, a contest for all the creative Metalheads, started! At the W:O:A Metal Chorus you can record an own performance of this year\u2019s Wacken hymn \u201eWacken Will Never Die\u201c and upload the video on Wackentube. Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger) became aware of our campaign and asks the 5 winners to perform the Wacken hymn together with himself and Skyline live at W:O:A!!! Consequently the winners of the W:O:A Metal Chorus will not perform at the Metal karaoke as planned, but they will sing the refrain of the Wacken hymn together with Chris Boltendahl during the opening show on Thursday on the Black Stage! An independent jury will judge the 5 fanciest, funniest and most creative videos of the participants. You can still engage in the W:O:A Metal Chorus until the 15th of July 2011. Important: One condition for participation is the ownership of a valid festival ticket!

\nFrom today on the playing times are online. You can find the online running order here<\/a>. Our Running Order Tool<\/a> is also available. With the tool you can select your favourite bands and create your individual running order. Important!!! Subject to change. The plans<\/a> are updated, too.<\/p>\n

Wacken Mail and Parcel Office<\/strong>
\nOn the 1st of july we will start our new project regarding luggage shipping from and to the WackenOpen Air!
\n1. Luggage shipping TO Wacken W:O:A: Simplify your trip to Wacken W:O:A 2011 by sending your luggage directly to the WOA festival area in advance. You can pick up your luggage at the Wacken Mail and Parcel Office (WACKEN PLAZA) from 2 August 2011. You can find further information regarding the handling as well as prices at the following website www.wackenpostoffice.com. Here you start the assignment and pay for the shipping. You need to assign for the luggage service prior to 26 July 2011 (due to organisational requirements). The luggage will have to be picked up by UPS prior to 29 July 2011. Be advised! The luggage shipping service is a pilot project this year. The service will only be offered from the following countries: Germany, BeNeLux, Denmark, Austria, France and Sweden. The number of luggage for the service is limited to 250 pieces. So, the earlier you book, the higher is the probability that you can use this service.<\/p>\n

2. Parcel and packaging service (including luggage service): We offer parcel shipping and packaging service at the festival area (WACKEN PLAZA) . We provide worldwide and secured parcel service via UPS so that you can send for example your merchandising products and gifts home directly. If you do not want to carry your luggage back home after the W:O:A, we also provide a luggage shipping from the festival area back to your home. We will take care of professionally wrapping and packing your belongings to ensure a secure shipping.<\/p>\n

3. Mail and stamps: You can mail your postcards from the \u201eFull Metal Bag\u201c directly from Wacken Mail and Parcel Office. Of course, we also provide you with the stamps you need for national and international mailing.<\/p>\n

W:O:A Drummer 2011<\/strong>
\nNot only vocalists got their own competition but also all the drum possessed maniacs amongst you! Show us that you\u2019ve got it, by thumping on everything that gets in your way (except of drum sets!). Be creative, be eccentric, become W:O:A Drummer 2011.
\nThe ten hardest, fastest and funniest Drummers will get the one chance of winning a W:O:A Cajon and a live gig with the Smack Ballz at the W:O:A 2011. You can upload your video until the 20th of July 2011 at Wackentube.
